This figure was made by M-1 in collaboration with Club Daikaiju. It is the first M-1 item to be produced for the American collectors market. Reptilicus is the 1962 film produced in Denmark by American producer/director Sid Pink, who also wrote and produced The Angry Red Planet. The Reptilicus figure has several points of articulation. To help keep the figure steady for display, pachinko balls are molded into the end section of the tail with resin. Unlike most M1 figures, Reptilicus comes with a tag instead of bagged with a header card. The inside of the tag features the lyrics to the song "Tivoli Night" from the movie. The tag is can be easily removed for displaying the figure. The green painted version of Reptilicus is limited to 1,000 figures. The glow-in-the-dark version was produced as an exclusive for Wonder Festival in Tokyo on August 20, 2000; only 200 glow figures were made and all were sold out at the event. The standard figure was available early on with red eyes, but later on was changed to having yellow eyes.
