The Bandai Godzilla '62, or King-Goji, was first issued in 1983, and was the first toy the company released in it's popular line of Toho 8 inch figures. A lot of people don't realize that the figure was actually released bagged, with a loose "The Godzilla Collection" tag (#31) and small piece of paperwork. Any figures that have been tagged are damaged.
The figure's tag on one side has the standard sunburst pattern all of the Bandai tags had from this era, with a closeup of KING Goji's face in the center. The reverse has a 3/4 profile view of Godzilla from Godzilla v. the Thing, which is actually the MOSU-Goji costume.
G '62 has been since reissued twice; once in the 1995 Memorial Box and then in the 1996 Godzilla Forever Series. There is also a smaller, loose bootleg of the figure out there, with no Bandai or "MADE IN JAPAN" markings, instead bearing a "TAIWAN" mark on the foot.
Hitoshi Hayami is credited as the original sculptor.
