Varan was one of the hard three to find at Kay Bee until they were released through the Trendmaster web site. Varan stands a little over four and a half inches. The one pictured above comes with sound. He is made of all plastic. It is a smooth type of plastic compared to the older figures. The paint on the back and chest is metallic blue. He also has several big spikes down his back and on his limbs. The right arm has a different type of joint than other Trendmasters figures. It allows the forearm to move up down. The left arm moves from side to side. The neck, legs and tail also move.

Varan was available only with sound effects when it was first released in the Godzilla Wars series, though it was later offered without sound as part of the ill fated Doom Island series. On the sound version, there is a sound button in the middle of his chest. The fins on the top part of the tail remove to allow you to change the batteries.
