Gigan

Gigan

The Marmit Gigan was issued in 1998, and is a very impressive mold at over 11 inches tall. There are two versions of the painted, standard Gigan; the blue pictured above and a green one. Gigan's feet are both stamped, one with the Marmit logo and date, the other with Gigan's name in kanji. The green version's header card, at first glance, looks much like that of the transparent blue Gigan below. However, there are two subtle differences. Firstly, instead of the round gold sticker Gigan's name is stamped into the nameplate area. Secondly, there is a small rectangular sticker on the upper right corner of the standard issue. The figure came in a bag with header card. The figure is stamped on both feet.

In 2001 Marmit released an exclusive set of five Vinyl Paradise figures for the Chiller Theater Horror and Sci Fi Convention in New Jersey. Produced for the U.S. market and limited to only 100 pieces, the figures have new paint styles and mold colors. The figures in the set include Godzilla '68, King Ghidorah, MechaGodzilla I, Gigan, and Hedorah (Flying). The header cards are stamped 2001 in red and are a similar style as that of the Vinyl Para Baby series. Unlike the earlier San Diego ComiCon exclusive set, these do not bear the name of the convention on them.

The Chiller variation of Gigan is molded in aqua with gold, silver, purple, red, and metallic blue highlighting.
