Godzilla 1964 (Mosu-Goji) Great Monster Series

Godzilla 1964 (Mosu-Goji) Great Monster Series

The Great Monster Series, which also included King Ghidorah and Mothra Larva, commemorates the 30th anniversary of the release of Godzilla (1954). Bandai released the 64 Godzilla as part of the Great Monster Series in 1984. The figure stands almost 18 inches tall and is very impressive looking. The figure was also release in a limitedbronze addition. The figure has white finger nails as compared to the grey nails on the later release version, but more important is the size difference. The original is bigger in proportion, which makes it much more impressive. The figure came in a large, plain box.

The bronze Mosu-Goji has become quite the holy grail for Bandai collectors. While all 3 GMS figures are limited in availability, the bronze Mosu-Goji is even more rare than the standard GMS releases, with only 1,000 pieces made initially in 1984. One hundred of those were imported by Bandai directly to the states.

It's important to note that the box for the bronze GMS Godzilla is completely different from that of the standard version.
