This large scale Heisei Godzilla was issued by Bandai in 1991, and is one of several larger figures issued by the company over the years. Unlike the standard sized GHIDO-Goji released the same year, this Godzilla has an open mouth like most G toys. In fact, it probably most resembles the next year's BATO-Goji.

The figure was issued in a box not unlike that for the previous 1988 Large Scale MOSU-Goji. The Godzilla '91's box has printed on the front, back, and side different images of the Heisei Godzilla. The picture on the back is from Godzilla '84. The images are all printed in black, and the text and logos are red.
